my face & neck & eylids have become extremely flaky and peeling and red in the center of my face, not at the periphery tho I have flakiness also on my earlobes, more recently. Sometimes it is so red and burning and itchy that I can t rest, often feels really tight and is very tight at the corners of my eyes and corners of my mouth. I have changed very little in my routine- same lotion, makeup, shampoos, laundry detergent, diet . I have a long history of exzcema since childhood and seasonal postnasal allergies. I regularly take Claritin and Naproxen and a daily vitamin. I am 57 and recently menopausal( within last 2 years). Wrinkles are now obvious and I can t wear makeup for more than a couple hours to cover redness without flaking reappearing & redness showing up. I need to be finding a job but am often unable to.leave the house. The flakiness is so extreme that when I shower-skin rolls off with the gentlest contact and I have flakiness down front of my clothes at day s end. Cortizone creams have been my go-to for flareups but cause crustiness which reverts to flakiness by 2nd day and I think I ve used them too much-thinning my skin. I need a flare-up cure and a maintenance care because this is cyclic and recurring. Help please!
