Fever With Mild Cold. Hurting Stiff Legs, Virus? Giving Medicine And Water. Am I Doing The Right Thing?

My 7 year old daughter has had a fever on and off this week, with a mild cold . She is still eating, but not as much as normal. She has started to complain of stiff legs that hurt when she walks. Seems like a virus? I am controlling her temperature with medicine and making sure she drinks plenty and sleeps. Am I doing the right thing?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Probably you are doing the right thing,
In some cases of viral fever bodyache, myalgia & stiffness of the limbs are the dominant findings.
So you should continue the medicine.
Wait for the further 3-5 days because viral fever usually resolves within 7-10 days.
Take care.
