Hello, welcome to healthcaremagic. Ultrasound is not comletely rellied to assess fetal impaired growth. There are other parameters as well to assess fetal growth according to the gestation period. It can occur in several chromosomal anomalies as well as maternal malnourishment. It can not be predicted about the child's growth and delivery without knowing the real facts.
hi there may be some anamoly in child at birth u should consult ur doctor & go for aminocentesis to detect chromosomal abnormality, u should sure about ur foetus growth.
wish u & ur foetus for being well
First u need to confirm that there are no anomalies in the baby.
Later on should see hows each measurement & wat is the ratio of disparity to come to a conclusion between IUGR -symmet/asymmet & Small for dates.
The growth chart & liquor is important to comment regarding the baby's growth.
welcome to the health care magic forum ,many times ultrasound study of the foetal parts dont have exact response on the future abnormality of the child after the birth ,it depends accordin to the immunological response and the nutrition the child is getting through mother ,as of now dont panic make yourself stress free .

Hello I am 33 weeks and 3 days pregnant. My dr ordered a growth us at 32 weeks. When I met with her today she told me that my baby has a prominent gallbladder (enlarged). She did not seem too concerned but ordered another ultrasound at 36 weeks. I am very worried and if it does show that his gallbladder is in fact enlarged what could that mean and would he have health problems or would he be normal? I have looked up a few things and it said something about a chromosomal defect associated with this. I am worried and just want to know the causes and what could happen.

PELVIC ULTRASOUND: I had a biopsy last Thursday how long do you have to edit before you resume intercourse? What does of this means? HISTORY48 years female : Postmenopausal bleeding Comparison: 4-28-14 pelvic ultrasound Transabdominal sonographic evaluation of the pelvis reveals a retroflexed uterus measuring 11.0 x 5.2 x 4.6 cm. Transvaginal sonographic evaluation of the pelvis reveals several nabothian cysts in the cervix. The endometrial stripe is heterogeneous and exhibits a maximum thickness of 11 mm which is abnormally thickened for a postmenopausal female not on hormone replacement therapy. The uterine myometrium is diffusely heterogeneous, raising the possibility of adenomyosis. Multiple subcentimeter cystic spaces are noted in the endometrium. Neoplasia cannot be excluded. A small amount of free fluid is visible in the pelvis. A posterior, intramural fibroid measures 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.7 cm. The right ovary measures 3.0 x 3.0 x 1.4 cm. A hypoechoic lesion in the right adnexa, measuring 2.2 x 2.0 x 1.0 cm is most suggestive of a paraovarian cyst. The left ovary measures 4.4 x 2.1 x 1.9 cm and contains a 0.8 x 0.7 x 0.7 hypoechoic lesion with an echogenic rim; this lesion is not significantly changed from the prior exam. IMPRESSION: 1. Thickened endometrial stripe containing numerous subcentimeter cystic spaces; neoplasia cannot be excluded. Further evaluation with endometrial biopsy or sonohysterography should be considered. 2. Hypoechoic lesion previously noted in the right ovary is not evident on the current exam. 2. Subcentimeter, hypoechoic lesion in the left ovary which exhibits an echogenic rim is not significantly changed from 4-28-14. A similar lesion was noted on a 10-30-13 pelvic ultrasound,

Hello Doctor, I m a 28 yr old man. Last week, i had some problem passing the gas... & after 1-2 days, I had a mild stomach pain on left side.... I visited one hospital & got the medicine for the same(PANTADOC 1/2hr before the meal, else CYCLOPAM after meal-2 times a day)..... Yesterday, I got some burning sensations at the back on the top of my left hip which continued for almost 1 hr..... Suspecting something in the stomach, I d done the Ultrasound scan for full abdomen which gave NORMAL RESULTS..... I don t drink, no smoking, normal food (mostly Veg), Staying in a PG (sometimes get spicy food but I try to avoid it or eat less) Still I feel some burning sensations. Could there be some kind of infection in stomach ? Are there any tests apart from Ultrasound which can reveal any infection ? PLease help me as I m worried about this !!!
