Fell From Steps, Injured Shin, Bleeding, Swelling In Knee. Red, Numb, Itchy Spot Remain. Cure?
I fell down steps and injured my right shin several weeks ago. My leg hit a post and it bled a good bit and swelled up from my knee to my ankle. Now the swelling is gone but a dry red, numb yet itchy spot about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide remains below where I was originally cut. What is it? How long will it remain? And how do I treat it?

this is probably hypertrophic scar or a keloid,,it may remain so for another 3-6 months and if it is a keloid then it may keep growing,get a consult from a good plastic surgeon
