Fell Down Steps, Injury To Rib Cage, Pain On Putting Pressure. Treatment?

42 yr old male in good shape, fell down stairs 3 days ago and sustained moderate pain to left side of rib cage. No pain between ribs, however direct pressure to two of them are very sensitive. Can take a deep breath but with some discomfort to left side. Other than OTC medicines, should cage be wrapped? Have not gone for x-rays.

hi.. ideally you should take an x ray and rule out fracture... if there is a fracture immobilization with strap can hasten heeling.. you should take a good anti inflammatory drug for a wee or two also...
