Hello I fell on my back but I have a bad pain on the right side. It feels like it s above my right kidney maybe in my ribs. If I m sitting upright it doesn t really hurt but when u lay down the pain is really bad and if I move a certain way it feels as if something is pushing out against my right side. And it s been 9 days since I ve fallen.

Thanks for writing to us.
From your description it seems that there is a soft tissue injury or a muscle sprain due to the fall. An injury to the rib needs to be ruled out after an X-ray. usually such injuries do take 3-4 weeks to heal properly.

Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Madhusudan's  Response
as per your description of back pain it seems that you have injury to your rib. these injuries are usually very pain full and take long time to go i.e. 2-3 weeks . dont worry consult your orthopedic surgeon get x ray done and rule out any fracture in the rib. even if it is there it will settle in few day with proper treatment like rib belt and analgesics etc
