Fell Backward, Back Pain With Burning Sensation, Bruise Between Shoulder And Hips. What Should I Do?
Hi. My feet slipped out from under me and I fell backward down 3 stairs. My whole back immediately radiated from lower back to upper back with a burning sensation. I couldn't move or put pressure on my right leg for at least 30 min. I just sat there. Throughout the day,I had a burning and pulling sensation when I moved. There is s huge bruise between my back shoulders and above my right hips. Next day. Still pulling feeling.
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM. During the fall, you might have injured *spinal ligaments *vertebral bodies causing compression fractures * intervertebral disc causing them to prolapse * spinal musculature leading to muscle spasms To diagnose the above possible injuries, you need to have good Xrays and MRI scan of spine to rule out injuries to the spinal elements. Consult an orthosurgeon
Hi--you need to see a doctor about this and to get an MRI of the thoracic and lumbar spine to check for any spine fractures and for possibly one or more ruptured disks. This really isn't something you should adopt a wait and see attitude for--you need to be evaluated today
