Feeling Pressure In The Throat, Acid Reflux. Stopped Medication. Symptoms Recurring. What To Do?

Had acid reflux and burping and feeling of pressure in throat. Doctor gave me medication to reduce acid production. The burping (not continuous) and throat feelings continued through first week of medication but dissappeared for about three days the second week and then the burping and v slight throat feeling returned. Today I stopped the medication as instructed to see what happens. Nothing different so far. My question is what symptoms should they reoccur would indicate that I need to go back and see my doctor again. Obviously if all of them did I would - and then would need an endoscopy. But what degree of symptoms would indicate I need to go back.

Hello,
There should not be burping.
I do not know where do you stay but You Should take a short course of antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin with Tinidazole.
There can be Amoebic infestation and that is why you have no relief .
also you can have---
Antacid tablet (like Omeprazole) + Domperidom tablet
Syp. antacid gel 2 tsf two times a day half an hour before meals
multivitamin twice daily
Keep head end of bed elevated.
Do frequent eating like every 2 hrly , avoid binge eating ,avoid drinking lots of water after food, eat to the extent that the stomach is not full.
Avoid alcohol, Smoking
Do brisk walking daily
Go for walk after dinner
Avoid spicy food
Avoid late night coffee
follow up after 7 days.

the cause of acid reflux is sinuses
as post nasal drip can cause throat problem and triggers gerd
and acid production unless you treat cause the acid refux treatment is of no use
get xray pns waters view and treat according to that postion to cure the case and thus gerd
at moment
can start with fexofenadine 120 mg bd and tab cpm at night to decrease the mucus production of sinus mucosa
and liquid antacid tds for controlling gerd
apply neomycin h ointment in nose bd to prevent trigering of mucus production by pollen contact with nasal mucosa
sea water 2 drops at night each nose to clear back of throat and thus gerd
add lot of warm water to clear acid
