Feeling Of Falling While Asleep, Dizziness, Excessive Sleepiness, Elevated Blood Pressure. Treatment?

hi why while asleep...i feel like i was falling so i hold on to the bed an when i open my eyes the room was going around and around so i closed my eyes an when i open it back ..it was ok...but 5 days after this i check my blood it was 140 over 64...an now am feeling sleepy all the time an dizzy an week and it happen to me again i weak up becoused i feel like i was falling every thing was spining around...now i dont like when night come to go to sleep

Dear patient,

You are suffering from vertigo, which is the sensation of spinning while not moving; there are several causes, one of the most common ones benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, which is a dysfunction of the middle ear apparatus that is more common as we age, and tends to get better with specific physical therapy. Other common causes are inflammation of the middle ear after an infection and side effects from the medications. I encourage you to visit a provider, hopepully an ENT doctor, who can conduct a physical/neurologic exam and determine the specific underlying cause.
