Feeling Dizzy. Lightheaded And Cramps. Had Unprotected Sex. Pregnant?
Hi. My last period was in December and I had sex a day before I was supposed to start my period in January. I haven't gained weight or had any signs of pregnancy. I've taken 3 home pregnancy tests which were all negative. Today I've been feeling dizzy, light-headed, and sick to my stomach. I have cramps every now and then but usually I will go to the bathroom and they stop. What could be wrong?
First of all, you should undergo one blood test for beta-HCG and ultrasound scan at the earliest to exclude pregnancy. It also helps to rule out underlying pelvic pathology.
Other reasons are hormonal imbalance, irregular diet habit, stress/ anxiety, ovarian cyst, thyroid disturbance, increase prolactin level etc.
Here, you consult with your gynecologist after getting initial test reports to proceed other relevant investigation & next line of management.
Try to avoid mental stress, take healthy diet with Vitamin & iron supplements, maintain genital hygiene and take adequate bed rest.
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex.
You should consult a gynecologist for urine, blood test and ultrasonography to rule out pregnancy.
Symptoms may be because of pregnancy or hormonal changes or because of gastritis.
GOOD LUCK.
Take care.
