Feeling dizzy and nauseated after head being hit. Need to get checked?

Was bent down and stood up hitting the left of centre side of my head on an overhead wooden book shelf. It hurt but thought nothing much. That was Tuesday and Wednesday thru Friday I have been feeling dizzy (light headed ) at times and more so when laying down with it slight nausea. Have not seem a doctor as of yet. Should I?

Thank you for posting your query.

Based on your symptoms, you seem to have suffered a minor head injury and post-traumatic vertigo.

There is no need to worry now, as the symptoms usually subside in a few days. For relief of symptoms, you may take betahistine tablets.

However, if symptoms persist longer, you may consult a doctor.

Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
