Feeling A Lump In The Throat, Excessive Thirst. Reason?

hi I have had a feeling of a lump in my throat for 6 weeks. It is like the feeling you have when you are trying not to cry, I suppose like a build up of tension in the back of your throat. It is associated with a constant thirst. I also have urgency of micturition.I had these symptoms about 9 months ago and my doctor did a fasting blood sugar which was fine. Also an MSU was normal then. The throat feeling went away eventually but is back. The other symptoms have stayed.
