I have a deep pain in my upper right shoulder area which has persisted intermittently for 10 days. Feels like a punch although I have not twisted or pulled any muscles to my knowledge. I also have good posture. It worsens at night. I have been prescribed paracetamol and codeine plus 600 mg ibroprofen tablets. They help during the day to take the edge off but are not too effective at night. Should I return to my GP. Am concerned it could be referred pain.
