Feel isolated, arguements with family, lonelyness. How do i come out of it?

I feel like my life has no point to it and that I would be better off dead. I ve been isolating myself from my friends and my family. Whenever I talk to a family member it always ends in an argument for different reasons. I feel that no-one understands me anymore, and spend half the day in my room staring at the wall or crying, and I always feel worthless and stupid. The whole experience is scaring me and I feel like a loner. I don t know what to do, please help.

Hi amcmarsden.

Thanks for your question.

You are probably suffering from major depressive disorder. The symptoms of the disease is low mood, hopelessness, worthlessness, easy tiredness, loss of pleasure in almost all day to day activity, guilty feeling feeling, reduced sleep and appetite and suicidal intent or thought.

Depression is usually a problem in thought like you where people think wrongly that his family member not sympathetic to him,not giving time, not taking care properly but in reality they are not true.

So you please consult a psychiatrist urgently as you have already suicidal thought and discuss the matter with him in detail. He will help you by giving some drugs and may combine cognitive behavior therapy with it.
please do continue the drugs and the therapy he will provide.

Best wishes,

Life is a judicious mix of give and take. Please remember that no one in this is perfect without any faults. You are most likely suffering from depression. You are possibly showing exaggerated signs of frustration, excessive reactivity to stimuli (unpleasant words or actions or remarks etc.). Depression manifests itself as excessive anger or extreme sadness and withdrawing oneself from others. You are getting thoughts of ending life. It means you are on the verge of major depression. You surely need counseling to get at the root cause of the depression while you receive a course of antidepressants to control your depression. Please consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. Do not try to resolve problems with family members now. As you need immediate help, please discuss your problem with a psychiatrist instead of trying on your own. Best of luck!
