General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Krithiga, to tell it in simple terms- you are suffering from anaemia. Nutritional anaemia can be due to deficiency of iron - iron deficiency anaemia (normochromic normocytic anaemia) or due to deficiency of vitamin B 12 or folic acid - megaloblastic anaemia (hyperchromic megaloblastic anaemia). Bone marrow requires a constant supply of these three nutrients for the production of redcells. Iron is needed for haemoglobin (Hb) function. To raise the Hb level by 1G/dl about 200mg of iron is needed. Growing children, mensturating women & pregnant women need high daily requirements of iron. Anisopoikilocytosis is an abnormal shape & various sizes of RBC that gets destroyed quickly. Anamia causes weakness, fatigue, dizziness & if left untreated leads to swelling of legs & heart problems but not cancer. Worm infestation is a common cause of iron deficieny anaemia. So take Fesovit-Spansule 150mg once a day daily after food till your blood picture improves along with a single dose of Tab. Albendazole 400mg for worm infestation. Vitamin C preparations will improve the absorption of iron. Also take food rich in iron like greens, dates, jaggery etc., regularly.
