Fall Causing Sore Tailbone, Have Intense Abdominal Pressure, Difficulty In Sitting, Lying. Bruised Tailbone?

I fell off a snowmobile a couple of days ago and landed in a sitting position. My tailbone hurt immediately and is still extremely sore. I have a a lot of pressure in my abdomen as well. It hurts to sit, lay down, walk, etc. It is especially painful to go from sitting to standing and vice versa. Are these the symptoms of a bruised tailbone?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
From description it seems to be bruised tailbone. You need an x-ray to rule out any bony injury. Do hot fomentation over sacrum. It will take weeks to months to subside.
Use ring cushion and take sitz bath [sitting in lukewarm water for 10 min]
Take analgesic like nucoxia 90 once daily after consulting with your doctor.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
