Fainted As I Hit My Knee And My Limbs Felt Too Heavy To Move. Should I Be Worried?
I am a 31 year old female with no remarkable medical history. I hit my knee about an hour and a half ago, and ended up passing out for about 12 minutes. When I finally woke up, my limbs felt too heavy for me to move. I still feel very tired. My mother and her mother both suffer from faint feelings when they hit their knees, but neither have ever passed out. I have never even felt faint from hitting my knee before.
You need to investigate for reason of fainting, I will advise to check your BP, routine blood investigation, limb colour Doppler.
At your age most common cause of knee pain is osteoarthritis. I will advise you if possible do X ray of knee and you can consult me with reports or with your doctor.
Another possibility of knee pain can be due to meniscus injury ,which can be confirmed by clinical examination and if required MRI. Till time take analgesic and apply knee support.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care
