Hi Ayushi,
Thanks for writing to us.
Laser hair reduction is a permanent hair reduction technique. Usually six to eight sessions are enough to give good results. Results are specially good in clients who have dark thick black hair. Fine hair or lightly pigmented hair usually do not respond well to lasers. Results might also not be good in cases where technique has been faulty that is incorrect laser has been used or faulty energy parameters have been used for hair reduction. Usually paradoxical hair growth that is seen in your case can be treated by increasing the energy parameter while doing next session of laser or by doing double pulsing( in simpler words giving double shots of laser at the same area). You can discuss these options with your
dermatologist. However if you do not want to take laser sessions, the only option left is using oral
hormonal drugs and using
eflornithine cream. The results might not be as good as seen with lasers.
Hope that answers your query. Take care
