Face Injury, Hit Right Below Nose, Cut On Upper Lip, Cannot Open Mouth. Fractured Jaw?

Over the weekend I was hit in the face, right below the nose , with a softball. I was wearing a mouthguard so I got a cut on my upper lip . The next day when I woke up I could not fully open my mouth, and my whole upper jaw hurts and it feels stiff when I try to open my mouth, is it possible to have fractured my jaw or injured it internally?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
It can be aserious injury. I would suggest you to show it to ENT surgeon and get a x ray of the face. It can be a dislocation of tm joint. Till then i would suggest you to take Brufen tablet for pain relief and apply ice. Take soft diet and avoid opening jaw too much.
