Eyes Red, Greenish Goopy Stuff, Burning. Wear Contacts. What Is It?
Both of my eyes are extremely red and they keep getting greenish goopy stuff in the corners and in the corners they burn. I do wear contacts but at the time I do not have any prescription glasses and without my contacts I cannot see I do plan on taking them out tonight before I go to sleep to see if that will help but I'm not sure what's wrong with them
Dear Jacob, Donot use your CL if you have any discharge or severe redness in your eyes. You may be having some infection or inflammation. You may be having poor fit of the contact lens or if the contact lens is old there ay be lens defects or wear out which ll cause uncomfortableness while wearing it.As if for now, it is better for you not to wear the contact lens. If there is discharge and redness use some antibiotic drops 4 times a day. Get an appointment in CL clinic and have a complete check up of your eyes along with CL fitting....TC >> Dr Ajay Shanakar Kar
Greenish discharge is infection, unless proved otherwise.
Continuing to wear may damage the cornea.
They ought to be removed tonight / every night...
Get prescription glasses / in the meantime, you can pick a cheap one for temporary use - having similar not exact power - from some shops..
You should see an eye doctor
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
