Eyes Heavy And Sore. Problem?

My eyes have felt heavy and sore since last evening. I just remembered I opened the oven and sort of stuck my head in while I was roasting vegetables; the oven was set to 450 degrees. I remember feeling some pain quickly in my eyes. I shut the oven. Shortly thereafter, I now realize, my eyelids starting feeling heavy, and today they are still heavy, but less so, and achy. What have I done?? Or is this a coincidence? My opthamologist is closed on Thursdays (tomorrow). I can call her Friday, though.
