Hello Rathnavishakan,

You must ensure that your child wears the glasses constantly and regularly. This will not decrease the power of his glasses but will ensure that he will not develop amblyopia which can be more problematic . Amblyopia is a condition in which uncorrected refractive errors ( spectacle problem) can lead to irreversible changes in the brain causing permanent reduction in vision . To prevent amblyopia, wearing of glasses is mandatory. There is nothing specific as far as the diet is concerned except for the routine advise of healthy diet ( balanced food with proper portions of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals- from cereals, milk, green leafy vegetables, all fruits, eggs).
