Eye Injury, Blue Eyes, Bruised, Twitching In Eye. Taken X Ray. What Is It Related To?
Hi, My son was hit between the eyes with a cricket bat 2 weekends ago, he had swelling which then turned to 2 blue eyes and blue bruising across both cheeks. I took him for X ray and all was fine we then went for ENT check up 4 days later also nothing to report. Now one of his eyes has a twitching blink that was'nt there before. Do you think this could be related? Do I need to take him for another checkup or scan or is it a bit late?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
Hi, Thanks for using HCM.
His history of hit by bat, swelling then blue eyes and blue bruice across both cheek refers to bleeding in the area. This may be due to fracture or soft tissue injury. Since he developed twitching in eyes now, there is a chance of his extra ocular muscle or nerve being involved. The chance of the previous injury is more here for the problem. Show to your opthalmologist. He may need to get one scan for complete diagnosis and management. It can be treated. Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries. Wish you good health. Take care.
Regards Dr. Vidya
