Extremely emotional, menopausal symptoms. Prescribed Estradiol, norethist. Will I be okay?

2 months ago I was prescribed Estradiol/norethist to relieve the menopause symptoms.
Since taking this I have noticed that I am extremely emotional. I get very upset at things that wouldn't normally upset me and cry very easily. Once I start crying it is very hard for me to pull myself together. Today I had to leave work because I got upset and although I managed to stop crying several times, as soon as anyone asked me if I was alright I started crying again.
Could this be a side effect of this tablet?
