Extreme Cramping In Left Foot, Swollen And Brusied. Had Broken 5th Metatarsal, Healed. Suggestions ?

Yesterday I had extreme cramping in my left foot - now it is swollen and bruised. I did not twist, bump my foot or drop anything on it. My foot felt like it had an extreme knot in it. 2 1/2 years ago, I broke the 5th metatarsal (the tip on the end edge) and took 7 months before adhesion occured. It took a long time to heal.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
A sudden extreme cramping in the foot is likely to be due to a muscle sprain. A spontaneous bony injury is not likely. You need to do a hot fomentation in the area and take a combination of pain killer with a muscle relaxant for relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
