Extra heart beat, ECG showed ventricular ectopy, advised holder monitor. Is surgery required?

Hi, In dec 2011 end , I felt there was some extra beat in my heart . My ECG has shown some ventricular Ectopy. I am taking revelol 25mg. ECHO , TMT didnt found any problem. Recently Dr has suggested me to go for Holder Monitor to diagonise. I am little confused, Whether i would need to for any surgery or it can be controlled through tablets itself....Thanks, RG.
