Experiencing Severe Pain In Ear & Suffering From Sore Throat

Hi there,

I have had a sore that for a little over a week. It started after I had been cutting the grass, Not sure if it is allergy related.

I am 48 years old and Male. Not over weight. Ex-Smoker

Today I had a look at what was back there and discovered an area that is red and veiny. It si sort of at the back of the roof of the mouth. It appears to be where the pain is when I swallow. Pain is not severe, but annoying and has a tendency to radiate to my ear. Often I have had pain of during the same period on the other side of the throat/mouth. No red there.

Any thoughts as to what I am seeing?

Hi , your clinical history is suggestive of pharyngitis mostly due to allergy.

I would prescribe you ,Antiseptic Mouth Wash , Steam Inhalation & Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Leukotriene antagonists Montelukast combination . You will be fine.
