Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
This is due to contusion of the calf muscles ( gastrocnemius and soleus ).

DIAGNOSIS: Contusion Calf muscle
TREATMENT: 1) complete rest Walking also to be restricted as it causes the calf muscles to contract thereby not allowing it to relax.
2) Hot water fomentation ( increases the circulation )
3) Dicloran gel application.
This should relieve u of your pain in about 1 week.
