Experiencing Hair Fall, Tried Morr F And Had Side Effect. Suggest?

Hello Dr.,

I am 28. Experiencing hair fall since I was 19. The overall density has decreased. I have tried Morr F which consists of Minoxidil and topical Finateride. I used it for about a month and discountinued because of its visible side effects. However the side effects started showing up after 2-3 days application.

My questions:
1) Am I suffering from MPB or any other kind of alopecia? My father was bald. However I dont have a bald patch yet.
2) I want to avoid Minox & Finast because of the sides. Is there any other solution?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi yes ur hair fall is called as male pattern baldness.it can be due to heriditary problem.it is due to deficiency of alpha testosterone dehydrogenase which converts inactive to active testosterone.minoxidil is the drug of choice.i think ur side effects are due to finasteride in Morr F.hence use plain minoxidil like mintop forte twice daily.still there is reaction go for hair transplantation
