Experiencing Contractions At 28th Week Of Pregnancy

hi i am 18 years old and 28 weeks pregnant and have had contractionsd on and off for a couple days tonight they have been bad and woke me out of a sound sleep at least 4 within a hour my mid wife told me to go to sleep and lay on my left side but it wont stop i have been drinking plenty of water what should i do

Having 4 painful contractions in an hour is suggestive of preterm labour (labour before 37 weeks of pregnancy).It is an emergency situation and I would suggest you to consult your OBGYN specialist as soon as possible, so that you are admitted, monitored and treated accordingly. Birth of a preterm baby requires expert neonatal care.
