Hi, thanks for asking in Healthcare Magic.

You are definitely suffering from upper respiratory tract infection (sinusitis) though your symptoms are not classical. The impaired hearing is the conductive hearing loss due to sinus infection (sinusitis). It will resume to normal once the inflammation due to bacterial infection is treated. The itching in the ear, pain in the back of the head and eye pain are also due to sinusitis.

The swelling you experience is actually is due to flushing of face and neck that occurs after a bout of violent cough.

Pain in the back of head (occipital area) and eye pain also signify that the origin of this pain could be due to coexisting eye problem. You have to consult an ophthalmologist to check for refractory error.

For your sinus problem, antibiotics like Azithromycin, anti inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen, cough suppressants and Chlorhexidene mouth wash will be adequate to control the infection.

I hope this is useful to you.
