Hydrosalpinx is a condition where a woman's fallopian tube has become swollen and filled with fluid. The fallopian tube is where an egg becomes fertilized by sperm. The fertilized egg would then travel to the uterus where it would implant and develop into a baby. With hydrosalpinx, however, the fluid-filled fallopian tube blocks the egg and fertilization does not occur. The condition usually affects both fallopian tubes. But it is so bad to do salpingectomy , You can take tradition chinese medicine to treat .The medicine " Fuyan Pill "can cure it.

Hi Regina, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
Are you married and Planning to conceive? It may cause Miscarriage and inability to conceive. You haven't mentioned which side is affected? Hydrosalpinx is a condition where in it causes the tube to dilate and increase in diameter and fill with fluid. The fluid blocks the egg and sperm, preventing fertilization and pregnancy. Kindly do not worry and lose hope because, If only one fallopian tube is blocked and the the one is clear, it may still be possible to achieve pregnancy. It depends on how well the ovaries are functioning, and also what is causing the tubal blockage. In such cases Your doctor may give you fertility drugs to increase the chances of ovulating on the side with the open tube. This is not an option, if both tubes are blocked. Kindly consult another Gynecologist and get a second opinion and get a laparoscopic surgery which can open blocked tubes or remove scar tissue that is causing problems. If your Husband's semen analysis report is abnormal Invitro Fertilization will be considered. You will require a close monitoring of her health once you conceive. There are various cause for Hydrosalpinx like Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, History of abdominal surgery or endometriosis. All these causes have to be ruled out. Kindly do not delay and get yourself examined at the earliest.

Wish you Good Health, Take Care.

I am 50 years of age and had a total hysterectomy and bowel resection after I was diagnosed with bowel cancer...two years ago. I am now in remission. I managed to keep my left ovary and tube but now have a hydrosalpinx and have recently had a blood marker test but do not have the results as yet. I do have pain radiating from this area daily. As I have had 3 caesarean sections my gynaecologist is saying that an operation may not be possible due to adhesions. 1. What I need to know is can a hydrosalpinx turn cancerous? What other facts do I need to know?

Hi I have Hydrosalpinx in Right tube, what happens if it bursts? I am 44 years old had a Hysterectomy 10 years ago and had surgery on the same tube for Hydrosalpinx 5 years ago, all organs stuck together with adhesions. I have had nausea and serve pain but this has diminished over the last two weeks. Saw my OBYG on Friday and did ask what happens if it bursts but he didn t really answer this question have done cancer marker bloods and await these result, at this stage as surgery will be major, major due to adhesions and history (heaps of scars) we are at this stage doing an ultrasound in 6 months. but I really need to know what happens if it burst meanwhile ???? Many Thanks

I have been diagnosed with hydrosalpinx many years ago after doing a slapingography.since then, no other exam has diagnosed it, but I have pain in the right side and after my period there is always a watery discharge. This time the watery discharge has some blood. Should I get it removed by a laparoscopy in order to get pregnant? How can I be sure the hydrosalpinx has not gone?

If Naproxen has damaged my kidneys and Tylenol is bad for my liver what type of pain meds are available for me? I am said to have several chronic conditions which Docs seem to think or they claim once thought were in people s heads, which I don t understand, but I m only a teacher with a BS and a MS who suffers from spinal degeneration, narrowing of the spine, bulges at L1 and L2 and recently L4 and L5 up until Oct. 2013 when an attempt was made to correct these imaginary disc bulges. I suffer daily sinus headaches docs say they see something in there but there s nothing they can do about it. I have bursitis they tell me, which at times calls for a long needle to be jabbed into my hip and, there s nothing imaginary about that. They tell me I have Gerd so I imagine that s that burning sensation that come up in my chest and throat when I miss taking my omeprazole. I wonder if something like that could have led to my moms and her only sister s esophageal cancer? Or it could be the hiatal hernia or the unspecified intestinal disease they told me I have. You know I thought after that surgery while I was in rehab I was feeling better then I had in years and then I went home. The very next day I was back in the emergency room oh I forgot before I left the rehab a sore started to form at the surgical site and it began to bleed a little but no one was alarmed, especially not me I had had at least 8 abdominal surgeries before, one of them had to ripped back open due to infection (my C-section) the other burst back open when I was made to get up and too soon I thought, after my hysterectomy when I became dizzy and fell while walking down the hospital hallway. This was different this was something I had never heard of and probably would not have if I had died you see doc the people in the emergency room sent me home with a tube of cream, never contacted my surgeon it was her day off never advised a follow-up with her, oh I guess they knew I would not need one. But because I had home health care they took me to their hospital and a week later from the doctor s office I was rushed into surgery stat still didn t know what was wrong and two operations later after efforts to get my blood pressure stabilized I was then told I had contracted something called MRSA. I was on antibiotics for months and sick as hell for months one infection in the body after another in various places I won t name. Finally I was treated for a terrible bronchitis that would only go away with a protocol of prednisone and antibiotics used to treat pneumonia. So back to my original what type of pain meds are safe for me? Thank you in advance if you can answer my question and God bless.

I had abdominal surgery 7 days ago, and there have been complications. I have a bleeding vein and have been order by my doctor to bed rest until the pain and bleeding stops. Last night I began having a stabbing pain below my breast on the right side and pain when breathing deep. It has gotten worse today. I am dizzy and weak (but have been since the surgery). Is this just muscle spasms and a possible rib dislocation from the CO2, or is this a blood clot? Should I go to the ER, or wait till my Dr office is open in the morning. The stabbing pain has gotten worse.
