Elbow Injury, Large Lump Formation, No Pain. Medical Attention Required?

i tripped over my feet gettin out of my new tow truck, my elbow broke my complete fall to the ground. it struck the rail of my flat bed it hurt to the touch for about 3 weeks.. i didnt think anything of it... now i have a lump forming its the size of a golf ball, but with no pain... i would of see a doctor but i was dinied medicareand cant afford medical insurance..So my main question is. is this life threatening?

Thanks for writing to us.

The large lump is likely to be due to a hematoma formation in the area.
It seems to be soft tissue injury . You need an x-ray to rule out any bony injury.
You need to avoid massaging the area and take a mild pain killer for relief. In case there is an acute pain and a sudden increase in swelling then consult your physician for a direct examination to rule out any infection in the area.
