Easily Catch Cold, Have Fever And Sore Throat. Immune System Problem?
hi doctor actully I was asking this q 4 years but I can t get the answer which can help me. always I become sick , if I set with someone has a cold , next day I will have it even the fever and sorethrout I become a sick not less than 3 times in one month I have done many tests in the hospital everythings are normal only the ESR is27 I am a dental student in year4. I am 23 years old I m worred I,m treating patients I can get any disease from them please help me I want to know what is wrong with my immune system?what tests shoud I do ?
Hi there, welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. As you are a dental student, you would know that ESR is only prognostic test which denotes infection. It is not diagnostic. I suspect allergy in your case. Get in touch with an immunologist who can examine you and suggest a complete lab work up with therapy. As a doctor, I would also like to emphasize the importance of universal standard precautions each doctor has to follow while dealing with patients. Please follow them and you getting infection from them is reduced. Thanks.
