Ear Wax Build Up, Ringing Sound, Clogged Sensation. What Is It?

My left ear had wax build up about 3 days ago. I used a q-tip to clean it. The next day my ear contined to feel clogged and a high pitch ringing started. Afterwards, I used hydrogen peroxide. When that didn't work I bought murine ear wax remover over the counter and it didn't work to perfection. I'm going to a doctor in the morning to get it checked. If the wax is the problem will the clogged feeling and the ringing clear up?

Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M. for your query.

I have gone through your query regarding ear wax which is not removed even by q-tip, hydrogenperoxide, and even wax softner.

Here I would like to tell you that most probably you are having impacted wax, so for it's removal you should use wax softener ear drops for about 4 to 5 days in a frequency of 3 to 4 times a day. After that it may be removed by -

(a) Succesion clearence.

(b) Syringing with saline at room tempreature.

I hope this will solve your problem.

Regards.
