Ear Drum Constantly Pulsating. Sensitive To Loud Sound. Guide

My ear drum constantly is always pulsating whenever there are loud sounds or close sounds nearby, it is not tinnitus because I don't experience ringing, it sounds like water moving in your ear, or wind blowing through it, it disrupts my sense of hearing but I can hear perfectly long i think its almost been a year and I don't know what the heck it is.

Hi and thanks for the query.
It appears that you have eustachian tube dysfunction.
The eustachian tube connects the back of the nose to the middle portion of the ear.
It is responsible for maintaining atmospheric pressure in the ear.
If the tube gets blocked or malfuctions for any reason then it results in symptoms like distorted hearing, muffled hearing, discomfort in the ear, feeling like popping the ear and echoing of sounds inside the ear.
The most common causes for eustachian tube dysfuction are
1) Allergies of the nose
2) Enlarged adenoids (kids)
3) Travelling by airplanes
4) Diving.
5) Growth in the roof of the nose.
You should see an ENT specialist to figure out the exact cause.
Till then please try simple measures like
1) Blowing balloons twice daily.
2) Steam inhalation thrice daily.
3) Chewing gum twice daily
4) Drink plenty of fluids
5) Stay away from airconditioning. The cold air will irritate your tubes more and cause further blockage.
Since your symptoms have been there for more than a year insist on nasal endoscopy to look into your nasopharynx(roof of the nose) when you meet your ENT.
