Hi and welcome to Healthcare Magic, solitary elevated ESR in the absence of other abnormalities in other lab results are usually benign, however it is raised along with other abnormalities in any chronic infection or inflammation e.g. Tuberculosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, SLE, Multiple Myeloma etc. so you will have to provide more data
before a diagnostic guess can be hazard.
