I am 23 have 2 kids and am slightly overweight . When I was pregnant with my daughter I had to wear a holter for 1 week. In August 2012 almost 1 year after I had my daughter had to havr another EKG but nothing was weird. My heart ratr is constantly over 110 I am constantly tired, light headed , numbness and my chest hurts once in awhile I am so dizzy sometimes I can t see properly or walk. Please help explain what might be going on. My very small town doctors can t figure it out.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Let me know the following details along with mentioned.
Why was holter monitoring previously applied and what was the results?
Have you undergone eletrocardiography yet now?
With the available described symptoms, there appears to be possibility of heart arrhythmias; it can be proved after EKG.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist /cardiologist and should go for thorough check up.
You should also go for complete blood count, serum electrolytes, electrocardiogram and 2 D echo.
If all above prescribed investigation are found to be normal then you should also consult with psychiatrist.
There appears some component of anxiety also.
You should also take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors along with benzodiazepines for relief of your symptoms.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
