I have had dull deep burning abdominal pain( mostly in left lower quadrant) for past few weeks with a lot of flatulence. I have taken cipro and flagyl for past week which has alleviated my symptoms however I still have some flatulence and some abdominal discomfort and a feeling of fullness. In the past I have eaten a high fiber diet( raw kale salads daily). I have also drank a raw juice drinks that have not been pasteurized and such. I relates the beginning of my symptoms to an upper respiratory infection. Stolls now are unformed and very dense( sink to the bottom). Any idea on a probable diagnosis?I have a refill for the antibiotics, should I refill them and take them for 3 days or 1 week. Should I take a laxative to "clean out the bowels?
