Hi,i went out with friends on saturday night and ended up drinking a large amount of alcohol , i am not a big drinker. Since then i have had constant severe stomach pains on my right side just below my rib cage. Im constantly thirsty and I ve been drinking about 6L of water a day and still wake up parched in the night. I also am constipated with a very swollen stomach. Any ideas?

Thank you for asking HCM
Your problem is most likely alcoholic gastritis. For such condition i usually treat my patients with proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole or pantoperazole for 1 week. You are getting more thirsty due to the dehydration caused by excessive alcohol intake. So take more fluids also.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
