Done sling surgery for incontinence. Have UTI after removal of catheter. Is this common?

Hi I recently had sling surgery for incontinence . But had to have a catheta for two weeks cause of problems peeing. The catheta is now out its been three and a half weeks since surgery and I ve had two uti . They offered to split the sling last week to get a better flow, but said I would be back to being incontinent. This was before I got the second uti. Is this common?

Welcome to HCM.
Post catheterisation UTI is fairly common and needs urine culture test and appropriate antibiotics.
