Done Bovine Dvalve Replacement. Swollen Feet, Racing Heart After Taking Lotrel. Should I Take Lisinopril?
I had a bovine dvalve replacement in Oct. 2012. I am not asked which medications did I find most effective prior to that operation. I was taking diazide, metoprolol and lotrel (amlodipine combo) at that time. My feet had become balloon shaped and I felt the lotrel may have caused that. On the other hand the suggestion of lisinopril worries me because I am unaccustomed to it's effect. I have recently re-started the diazide but have racing heart periodically. For that reason I lean toward Metoprolol. Would you think lisinopril a better choice. (I will not be going back on lotrel until other meds are in place, in order to see if it swells the bottoms of my fee.) I am 60 and diabetic.
Hi, you are 60 years age, and got valve replacement, your feet swollen. The edema of the feet could be due to amlodepine, and for any change of the drug or addition or stopping the drug i think you should better consult your doctor, and follow accordingly. Thank you.
