Done Back Surgery For Fracture. MRI Shows Full Healing And Fusion. Reason For Pain?

My 19 year old daughter had back surgery to fix a double fracture of L-5. She had the plate and screws removed last July and is still experiencing a lot of pain. The MRI and Ultrasound show full healing and fusion. Nobody knows why there is still pain. We have tried massage therapy, acupuncture and myofascial release massage to no avail. My family doctor has recommended I call an Osteopath doctor. Any suggestions? My daughter is now in college and walking everyday is painful. Trying to find an answer.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi:

so it is almost 2 months since the surgery and she still complaining of pain!

does she has the pain over the wound area (fracture area) or some where else in spine or muscles around the spine or in pelvis?
does she has radiating pain or numbness and tingling in her legs?

I will recommend physiotherapist rather than osteopath in her condition.

if you have further question contact me again

hope she gets better soon
