dog bite on my hand below and abo ve thumb cleaned eery few hours with epson salts and water as well as streaming water then ointment and fresh bandages i have white skin around wound is tis from not breathing and ointment around the wound not in and hand is swollen went to hodspital watched all there before and after me in and out 2 hrs waiting period i was there for 5 not given any ting to cleaN or told to elevate so
left at leasT AT home i could washt

Hi,
Wash the wound twice daily with sterile water and apply antiseptic ointment with the clean dressing. The risk is that it gets infected. You need to watch for a fever, swelling of your hand or generally felling progressively worse. Having episodes of feeling hot and cold and shivering would indicate the wound has become infected and you may need antibiotics.
