Does Yeast And Urinary Infection Interfere With HPV Test Results?

I recently had a Pap smear and HPV test. Pap was negative and HPV was positive. HOwever, at the time I had sex within 24 hours...informed dr. of a possible yeast infection, urinary infection. Nothing was found. About two weeks later, I went to another dr. who did diagnose me with both yeast and urinary infection along with bacteria. Could this have interfered with my HPV testing?

hi, urinary infection or yeast does not affect your HPV test result. it may affect sometimes with your PAP smear result. reactive atypia may occurs due to heavy infection but as far as HPV testing is concern there is no chance of interfearance with urinary infection.
thanks for using health care magic.
