Does Warm Compress And Massage Help To Heal The Lump In The Ankle?

After being kicked on the inside of my ankle in my Kung Fu Class with the heel of a foot, I suffered with a large swollen bruise which disappeared and left a hard lump under my skin. Should I apply a warm compress and massage to help heal my ankle heal and get rid of the lump?

hi.

a warm compress may help in decreasing the inflammation. i do not advise massage since it might aggravate the injury more. application of an elastic bandage to the affected area might also help. pain reliever should be taken after meals as needed. if after 3 days and no decrease in swelling observed, a consult with your physician should be done.

hope this helps.

good day!!
