Does Viral Infection Cause Change In Liver Enzyme?

hi i had a fasting blood test and they all came back clear,but the doctor said 1 was border line wich he sadi was a liver enzyme wich was 5 to 36,he said it probably because of a viral infection i have had.so he wants me to have further blood test in 6 weeks just to fully make sure.do i need to worrry?

Yes it is possible that a viral infection could cause an elevation of liver enzymes. This is especially true if it is only a mild elevation. Don't worry but make sure you get the follow up tests just to make sure that the enzymes are back to normal.
