I am pregnant in first trimester and my doctor suggested that I should check TSH level. It turned out to be 0.094. I have never before checked it so I don t know is this caused by pregnancy or was low even before I was pregnant. Can this in any way affect my pregnancy and should I get some treatment or not?
Hi...I am 5 weeks pregnant and was tested that my TSH level is 84 two days back. My doctor has prescribed pills for correcting this TSH level. I would like to know whether this high TSH level will affect the grwoing foetus and what measures should i be taking to prevent any complications. I take the hypothyroidism tablet first thing in the morning and my other folic acid and progestrone tablets after breakfast and dinner. Is this the correct way to be be followed

I am 26 years old. Female. & have a couple concerns. Fr a little while now I have been extremely tired. Several months. With that I have EXTREME constipation like 10-20 days with no BM. Also I have gained about thirty pounds in a matter of two months and cannot seem to get it off. I have dark circles under my eyes as well. I have not had a cycle in over two months. I am not pregnant. I had blood work down to look at my thyroid and the TSH was 1.82. My primary said that was normal. My WBC was 4.3 and the RDW was 11.4%. Also my ast 33 and alt 32. I am really tired of being so tired. I generally run a high pulse in the 100s. Can sleep all day. Lately I have developed headaches in the evenings. Three years ago I had a child via cesarian because my blood pressure was too high (don t know I that s relevant)! I just want some help and my doctor doesn t seem to care. Also I supposively have adult ADD. Which I guess contributes to my forgetfulness which is worse as well. Thank you!(also heart disease, cancer, hypertension, thyroid disorders. Are in family hx)
I am living in Bangalore temporarily and have Fibromyalgia. I have been reading that the underlying cause can be due to an under active thyroid. I was doing better but recently began to feel much worse. I don t know what to do or who to see here in the city.

I had a baby 18 months ago and previous to that suffered from Hyperthyroid due to a virus. I was suffering from significant tachycardia and excessive sweating at that time. RAI Uptake was done etc, Virus resolved rendering my thyroid now Hypoactive for the last 4 years. I am currently taking Synthroid 150mcg. I have been a runner my entire life however first trimester complications caused that to cease. I am not just getting back into it and training for a half marathon. I have noted that my heart rate even after 5 minutes of running is around 186 bpm. I went to my GP to have my TSH and T4 checked to be sure I wasn t over medicated. Everything was normal. His response to this high BPM was to add a Beta-blocker. I have leary of taking it because I have read it will greatly affect my performance while running. I also get a quivering type feeling here and there through out the day in my heart. I get extremely flush almost purple in my face when running. I m wondering if there could something significantly more wrong than the thyroid affect as my GP has mentioned. I asked for a stress test and he said I didn t need one. I am 34 years old, slightly overweight still from post-partum. no other medical conditions, no history of any previous medical conditions other than Gestational Induced Hypertension and ecclampsia which clearly has resolved and Gestational Diabetes which also resolved.
