Does Vascular Disease Cause Sinusitis?

I had a femoral head pin then hip replace complications avn. I know have sinusitus went ent gave me around of amox/k clav 825 - 125 mg.. I have some questions about Osteomyelitus .. I had pins removed and surgery went well.. I do not have any smell or taste .. good this be a vacular bacteria .. maybe a differant antibio treatment.. I will ask for a cbc esr and cpr but then they think why and why are you asking and stop reading online. I gues my quest.. if sinusitus related to blood vascular disease.. i had some white sputum previous to hip replace and it seemed to clear up can you talk with out my email not interest pay thankyou

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, both of these can be entirely different infections caused by two different bacteria but this could have been confirmed on cultures both for sinusitis like of nasal discharge, throat swab, or sinus discharge etc and for wound infection local cultures alongside blood cultures would have been appropriate.

Usually, for gram-positive bacteria, the antibiotics you took would have had better coverage and if both involved the same group of bacteria one antibiotic would have been sufficient but since we don't have exact cultures it's difficult to predict and it's mostly based on possibilities. Rarely coughing can lead to spread of some bacteria from the upper respiratory tract and may spread on the exposed wound but that's a rare incidence.
