Does Usage Of Permethrin Cream Help In Treating Crusted Scabies?

My husband has crusted scabies. He lives in a nursing home. His doctor put him on a very aggressive treatment with permethrin and ivermectin. He also sad that I should be treated. I took permethrin cream 5%, and 12mg ivermectin on the same day Jim was treated. I never had itching until now days later. What does that mean? I was going to a week until the next treatment but I panicked and gave myself another permethrin treatment 3 days later. Am I being paranoid for nothing? Does the treatments always work? Is there a resistance to these treatment. I never thought I had scabies but now I m itchy.
